The vocational Graded syllabus provides a framework for in depth study of Ballet, developing the technique, music and performance skills of the student to an advanced level.
Pointe work is introduced for female candidates. These examinations provide a benchmark for students wishing to pursue a career in dance.
Intermediate Foundation and Intermediate are the first and second in a suite of six levels, which comprise the RAD’s vocational graded syllabus provision in the performance of ballet. They are placed in the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). An entry pathway to Intermediate Foundation is provided by the RAD’s graded syllabus.
