Terms and Conditions
FEES
Fees are due at the beginning of the term and must be paid within 3 weeks of receipt of invoice. Unless a prior arrangement has been a made a payment plan option is available for siblings and students attending more than one class per week.
If you are having financial difficulties and are unable to pay for any reason, please call us, we will do what we can to help.
Refunds will not be given except in extenuating circumstances.
ENROLMENT
Contact forms must be completed with any relevant emergency numbers and medical information which is deemed necessary for us to know.
You will be asked to notify your teacher at the end of the term if you no longer wish for your child to continue on with the subsequent term.
Please inform us immediately of any changes in your personal details.
WATCHING CLASS
Parents and family members can watch the classes at the end of the term. Please ensure that you are quiet while the class is in progress – any noise is a distraction to both dancers and teacher. Recording from mobile/multimedia devices or any photography is not to be used on social media.
CHILD COLLECTION
It is the parents/carers responsibility to collect their child immediately after their class has finished. Younger pupils (below school year 7) must be collected from the foyer, they are not permitted to leave the premises unattended. If a parent is late the pupil will be taken back into the studio.
PHYSICAL CONTACT
Parents are advised that some physical contact may be necessary by a teacher to demonstrate exercises or techniques, or if a staff member needs to administer First Aid.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN
The teachers at the Ballet school are all DBS checked and hold necessary paperwork to support this.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Students may be photographed or filmed by the media for promotion of the school and productions. Permission will be sought from Parents/Carers prior to any publication.
UNIFORM
All students must adhere to the uniform regulations and be suitably groomed and be ready for their class 5 minutes before the scheduled class time. When enrolling their child into the school, parents are provided with the details of the regulation uniform for ballet.
All belongings must be named. Lost property will be placed in the ‘Lost Property’ box, valuables will be kept by the teacher. Any unclaimed lost property will be disposed of at the end of each term.
We encourage our pupils to take pride and pleasure in appearing beautifully groomed as looking smart and elegant enhances the way in which the children feel when they dance. Well-groomed hair also helps the teacher to observe a clear line of the head, neck and upper back; which are essential for good poise.
MISSED CLASSES
There is no refund of fees for missed classes. A maximum of 2 missed classes can be ‘made-up’ per term in other classes of the same (or similar) dance level (pending availability). Please make sure you advise if you child will be away in order to be eligible for a make-up lesson. Every effort will be made to make up lessons missed due to hall cancellations or a Teacher’s absence.
FIRST AID
A stocked first aid kit is accessible to all classes at all times. In the event of a medical emergency, if parents are unreachable, it is understood that the teacher reserves the right to call for an ambulance service.
